It was its name before all the popularity. Now renamed El Nido, that means "the nest" for being turtles' breeding area, but can also be due to its location being the "nest" for a generous ground for white-sand beaches, thriving coral reefs, towering limestone cliffs, sandbanks, lagoons (hidden or proud), and clear as day waters.

The ombre of water colors made El Nido a popular tourist destination for beautiful seascapes.
